Dog School Darlington

At Dog School Darlington we offer a range of training classes for puppies, adult dogs and rescue dogs in the local community.  Dog School runs classes in the local area for dogs of all shapes and sizes to come along to. We encourage positive methods of learning and offer plenty of advice and support that helps owners to create a bond with their dogs  in a relaxed, fun and friendly environment.

Trainers' profiles

Helen has a diploma with distinction in animal management and behaviour and 20 years’ experience in working with police dogs and assistance dogs. Helen also spends time competing in obedience and agility competitions!

Jess has an FdSc in Animal Management and Behaviour, and a BSc (hons) in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training. She has also spent 3 years at Dogs trust Darlington as a canine carer.

During her time in rescue kennels Jess has had the opportunity to build up lots of experience working with and handling lots of different dog breeds and personalities. Although Jess loves her rescue dogs she has a real passion working with owners and seeing their pet dogs progress and achieve their individual goals. Jess has two dogs of her own, a silly cocker spaniel and an elderly German Shepherd who accompany her on many adventures.

Abby has a Level 3 Animal Management Canine and Companion subsidiary diploma in which she achieved a distinction. She has also worked in kennels with a variety of different breeds and temperaments.  She has two young dogs, a very energetic Malinois and a very foody Chocolate Labrador!

In her spare time she enjoys taking them to lots of new exciting places to explore, and do bits of training obviously! Abby enjoys helping owners that come to Dog School reach their full potential with their dogs, and watching as their bond and relationship grow.
