Trainers' profiles

Suzie has over 10 years’ experience working with dogs, starting in boarding kennels before joining the Dogs Trust team at Darlington as a Canine Carer. One of her favourite parts of the role was helping to rehabilitate the dogs before waving them off to their forever homes. After relocating, Suzie then joined Dogs Trust Leeds as a Canine Carer before moving on to become Senior Coach for Dog School. Suzie has diplomas in Animal Management and Dog Behaviour, has recently completed a CPD course in Animal First Aid and is a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (01470)

Suzie has a soft spot for busy Spaniels, having grown up with a Springer and two Cockers.

In her spare time, Suzie and her partner have recently renovated a van into a camper for days out hiking in the countryside and will be looking to adopt a rescue dog next year to join them on their adventures.

Abby has a Level 3 Animal Management Canine and Companion subsidiary diploma in which she achieved a distinction. She is a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (01438) and before joining us at Dog School, has worked in kennels with a variety of different breeds and temperaments.

Abby has two young dogs, a very energetic Malinois and a very foody Chocolate Labrador! In her spare time she enjoys taking them to lots of new exciting places to explore, and do bits of training obviously! Abby enjoys helping owners who come to Dog School reach their full potential with their dogs, and watching as their bond and relationship grow.

Charlotte has worked with dogs for 10 years, starting with dog grooming before finding a passion for training and behaviour. She then went on to help at pet dog training classes, work as an Assistance Dog Trainer, as an Animal Care Assistant for a charity, and run her own business for a short time before joining Dog School Darlington.

Charlotte has completed a BSc in Canine Behaviour Management and is currently studying a MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training. She also has a Level 1 award in British Sign Language!

Charlotte loves to help owners build a strong bond with their dog using kind, reward-based training. She is particularly interested in self-control training, enrichment, and trick training!

At home Charlotte has three dogs to keep her busy. A Miniature Poodle, a Bichon Frise, and a young crossbreed who is full of fun (and mischief!). In her spare time Charlotte likes to take her dogs for walks in new places and to teach them new tricks!
