Trainers' profiles

Head Coach John Paul Maguire has his CertHE from Bristol University in Companion Animal Welfare and Behavioural Rehabilitation, as well as gaining his accreditation with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).

John Paul has worked for Dogs Trust since 2009, where he previously worked as a Canine Carer before taking a role as a Dogs Trust Trainer for the first prison-based dog training programme in the UK.  John Paul joined Dog School as a coach when the project began, before being promoted to Senior Coach and more recently Head Coach.  John Paul has multiple pets at home including a 13-year-old crossbreed named Branston.

Jill has for the past 7 years ran her own dog walking business, which has included the use of her own private play park for those dogs requiring a secure environment to relax and explore within.  Jill has owned and fostered many dogs over the years and currently has a little working Cocker Spaniel, "Lochie", who loves learning new tricks and having fun clicker training sessions.

Jill, in her spare time, likes to attend seminars and develop her knowledge and skillset.

Jill started as a Coach with Dog School Glasgow and has since progressed to Senior Coach!

Nathalie has a degree in Modern Languages and an extensive background in customer service.  Having had a lifelong passion for dogs growing up, she has devoted a lot of her spare time to furthering her own knowledge in behaviour as well as developing her practical skills.

Nathalie would love to have a dog but currently has 4 guinea pigs, a cat, 2 hamsters and 2 goldfish.
