Spot the Difference!
We had a true Christmas miracle at Dogs Trust Glasgow when a litter of Dalmatian puppies arrived on Christmas Day to very aptly named mummy Jingle! We loved following their progress in their first couple of months of life which they spent with mum in one of our amazing foster homes, and we were lucky enough to see some of them at our Dog School puppy classes once they had settled in with their lovely new families. Two of the pups Connie and Kylo ended up coming into the same class, our first block in our great new venue in Barmulloch, read on to find out what they got up to!
We’ve had pups from the same litter end up in the same classes a couple of times before and I for one always get emotional seeing them meet again for the first time since leaving mum - Connie and Kylo were no exception! They were around 14 weeks when starting classes and were both very excited to see each other again. Both of them did great in their first week, learning the settle and having some playtime with each other and the other puppies in class.
Both Kylo and Connie came on leaps and bounds throughout the course thanks to their fantastic families’ dedication to their training and consistency amongst everyone at home. Our proudest moments during the 5 weeks of classes were Kylo managing a fantastic wait before greeting our volunteer very politely with all four paws on the floor, and Connie trotting from one end of the hall to the other on a lovely loose lead towards mum calling her over - such amazing progress!
It was such a pleasure to have both the puppies at class and to get to know them and their families. We hope to see them back for our adolescent classes soon! We did try our best to get a lovely photo of the two together but in true puppy style, they didn’t sit still for long enough so here are each of their photos with their certificates instead!
