Dogs Trust Summer Fun Day

Dog School attend the Dogs Trust Glasgow Fun Day!

The Dog School Glasgow team was pleased to take part in the Dogs Trust Glasgow Rehoming Centre’s Fun Day this summer at Chatelherault Country Park in Hamilton. As we have recently began delivering training classes in the nearby Ferniegair Hall it was a great opportunity to meet the local community and raise awareness of what we offer.  Our interactive stall demonstrated to owners how to provide their dog extra enrichment by making their own inexpensive snuffle mats or by using other equipment such as a Kong.  It also provided children with a mix & match puzzle game where they could match pictures of various dog behaviours with the emotion they may be feeling.

The event was a huge success and we had a lot of fun taking part, some of the team even went and got our faces painted! It was great to speak with so many people, who were interested in attending classes and meeting their dogs.  As well as seeing some previous and current attendees who dropped by our stall to say hello. It was lovely to see them practicing what they’ve learnt in a different setting away from the training class and doing so well, we certainly felt very proud of their progress.

We hope to be able to attend even more events this summer and continue to spread awareness of Dog School.  So if you do see us out and about, please come over and say ‘Hi’ we love to have a chat and answer any questions you may have.
