Becoming Dog School Glasgow’s newest Coach

Read about Jill the newest member of the Dog School Glasgow team

Hi I’m Jill and I’ve been working as the new Coach at Glasgow Dogs Trust Dog School for the last month and I love it. It’s been great to meet lots of new people and getting to grips with my new role.

I have been a dog walker for the past 7 years running my own business and also have my own small plot of land which is not open to the public but is used for reactive dogs to go in a secure area and not have to worry about the things that make them scared e.g. other dogs/ people/ children/etc and just have fun!

In my spare time I enjoy going to various seminars where I have discovered lots of new information regarding positive reinforcement training and how dogs communicate with us. This has turned into a real passion and I enjoy finding out about new science based facts when it comes to our furry friends.

I myself have my little Lochie, a Working Cocker who loves learning new tricks with clicker training. He’s a pro at spins/turns/touch/hide your face/high five etc. He loves a game of find it and hide and seek. But most of all we love nothing better than going for a lovely walk and play with my children Lochie’s human brothers Blair and Arran.

I’m looking forward to being able to be a part of so many people’s journeys with their best friends, from the start of the classes, helping aid in their training and bonding progression to further their life long relationship (and I am lucky enough to be able to watch and help this happen). I hope to meet you at one of our classes with your best friend soon.
