Settling into Dog School Life!

by Abi Birch // April 2017

We are very excited to give you a little insight into our world of dog trainers within Dog School Nottingham!

Over the past couple of months, we have been very busy setting up our office and building up our presence around the city. We have secured three venues to hold our training classes at, and we have been visiting vet’s practices to spread awareness of what we are doing, how and where. Abi, our senior coach has been out and about this past week completing her first aid course, but also handing out leaflets to local vets. Chelsea and Rose headed off to Workshop to help and promote at ‘It’s a pup’s life’ Dogs Trust puppy campaign, where they met and educated puppy owners.

Chelsea, our head coach, has had a great week too with her little dog Apple. She had spinal surgery two weeks ago at Dovecote veterinary hospital to correct a ruptured disc, which had left her paralysed in her back end and yesterday took her first step on her back legs, a great sign of improvement and recovery. Over the next few weeks we hope to be in and around the city centre promoting our classes and our main aims, along with just spreading awareness of what we are trying to do!
